Service Description:

The Manta Group's Transformation Service is designed to assist technology-centric organizations such as IT in transforming the use of their capital and operating expenditures to deliver value-added services and products that are aligned with the current and future priorities and demands of their organizations.

Service Scope:

The Manta Group's RAPID framework is designed to provide the organization with an end-to-end approach towards transformation. RAPID leverages industry best practices according to the maturity and capability of the organization. Within the Robust Vision, the Manta Group transformation expert facilitates the organization to outline the characteristic of the desired working environment to effectively meet business demands. The Assessment provides a comprehensive assessment of value and services offered today across both the capital and operating budget. Plan and Promote Change specifies distinct actions/projects that the organization needs to undertake in order to mitigate the gaps between today's and tomorrow's working environment. A key component of Plan and Promote Change is communicating changes and their impact to stakeholders in an inclusive and proactive manner enabling an environment of stakeholder engagement. Implement Change includes executing detailed plans with emphasis on quick wins to create and sustain the momentum. Diligent Evaluation provides the mechanism for the organization to review the output of the implementation phase and apply the learning within the RAPID framework in a cyclical manner.

Service Brief:

Customer Requirement - Transform the Canadian services division of a global insurance company, with the goal of removing project risk and IT risk from the corporate risk chart, enabling further investment in the Canadian market.

Manta Solution - The Manta Group assigned a partner to deliver the transformation strategy using CobiIT as the methodology for transformation. The desired state was based on eight business demands that were mapped to the appropriate CobiT control objectives. A current-state analysis was conducted to determine the priorities for transformation based on the gaps. The Manta Group then deployed teams to support the development of the Project Management Office. A separate team was deployed to evolve service management practices. Risk management as a practice was introduced and implemented. A number of other initiatives were implemented by third parties. The net result was that project risk and IT risk were removed from the corporate risk chart, and investment in Canada is ongoing.
