- The Manta Group has extensive experience developing, operating and implementing Project Management Offices in accordance with best practices defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK).
- Our consultants have at least 5+ years experience in project portfolio management including creating and managing a PMO.

Customer Requirement - Client has a goal of enhancing project capabilities and creating a more effective, efficient organization without establishing a bureaucracy. As part of this goal they have identified the need to establish a Project Management Office (PMO) to support ongoing business initiatives.
Manta Solution - Use RAPID to build consensus on the vision of a PMO. Develop and implement a PMO with a focus on overall project management maturity and portfolio management and ensure that the PMO can be expected to function in the following seven areas:
- Project support: Provide project management guidance to project managers in business units.
- Project management process/methodology: Develop and implement a consistent and standardized process based on PMBoK.
- Training: Conduct training programs or collect requirements from an outside company.
- Home for project managers: Maintain a centralized office from which project managers are allocated to work on projects.
- Internal consulting and mentoring: Advise project managers about best practices.
- Project management software tools: Select and maintain project management tools.
- Portfolio management: Establish a staff of program managers who can manage multiple projects that are related, such as infrastructure technologies, desktop applications and so on, and allocate resources accordingly.
