COBIT Governance Model
The Manta Group’s work in governance and risk management spans the public and private sector and leverages the IT Governance Institute’s (ITGI) proven governance model of Control Objectives for Information and related Technologies. COBIT is recognized by the IT industry as the most comprehensive and relevant governance framework to manage IT investments. COBIT is a not-for-profit and publicly-available governance framework and used globally by public and private sectors. ITGI was established in 1998 to advance international thinking and standards in directing and controlling an enterprise’s information technology. ITGI has led the global mandate for effective IT governance as the mandatory requirements for IT to support business goals, optimize business investment in IT, and appropriately manages IT-related risks and opportunities. The IT Governance Institute offers original research, electronic resources and case studies to assist government and enterprise leaders and boards of directors in their IT governance responsibilities. As an avid proponent of customer self-reliance through an effective knowledge transfer, the Manta Group has standardized its governance service offering on COBIT and does not use a proprietary governance framework. Access to the COBIT knowledge base and forums are available via www.itgi.org for a nominal annual membership fee.
